President Trump is likely to announce more exemptions from his new tariffs on Canadian and Mexican products, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said Thursday. The White House press secretary said Trump decided to pause the 25% tariffs on auto imports after talking to officials with Ford, GM and Stellantis.

Shares of General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis climbed on Wednesday after the Trump administration delayed auto tariffs on Mexico and Canada for one month. GM shares gained 5%, Ford rose 4%, while Stellantis surged around 7%.
