With that Christmas connection, and the charming fantasy-like quality of the music, “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers” has become a beloved children’s Christmas tradition.
The fun kicks off at noon along U.S. 43. The theme of this year’s parade is “Candyland Christmas.” The parade plenty of throws, music, dancing, and a visit from St. Nick.
The 80th Raleigh Christmas Parade drew thousands to downtown Raleigh on Saturday. Although it was a chilly morning, the floats, music, and holiday cheer brought joy to many in the crowd.
