Jon Stewart Staying With 'Daily Show' Through Midterms Amid Paramount Skydance Turmoil
Despite turbulence from his corporate bosses, comedian Jon Stewart isn't leaving his famous desk. Stewart will continue to anchor Monday night episodes of "The Daily Show" through 2026, Paramount Skydance Corporation announced on Monday,
The current format will continue with Stewart hosting on Mondays while the show’s news team, which includes Ronny Chieng, Josh Johnson, Jordan Klepper, Michael Kosta, Desi Lydic, Troy Iwata and Grace Kuhlenschmidt, will alternate hosting duties from Tuesdays through Thursdays, according to the report.
Jon Stewart has extended his 'Daily Show' contract for another year amid the mounting criticism toward Paramount following its settlement with Donald Trump and Colbert's own cancellation.
Stewart sat down with The New Yorker editor David Remnick on Sunday night as part of the 26th annual New Yorker Festival.
