Carolina Hurricanes players are helping elevate a regional effort to fight food insecurity, promoting the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina's "Goal to End Hunger Challenge" as demand for assistance rises.

Hurricanes captain Jordan Staal and his wife, Heather, have been married since 2012. The two share three living children: daughters Abigail and Lilah and son Henry. In 2018, they tragically lost their third daughter, Hannah, to a terminal birth defect.
