Michael Osei is interested in whether a quantum computer is fast but also does it produce reliable, high-quality, useful & cost-effective results? CALGARY, AB, CANADA ...

In 2017, Microsoft surprised attendees of its flagship Ignite conference when the company revealed its first quantum computer. Since that time, quantum computing has been steadily gaining momentum, ...

Quantum computers have the potential to transform science, accelerating breakthroughs in drug development, cosmology, materials science, nuclear physics, and more. To make this future a reality, ...

A new quantum encoding scheme called the permutation technique stores binary vectors in superposition and modifies Grover's ...

Researchers have been exploring algorithms that would allow computers to process data at the quantum level on a theoretical basis for many years, but only now are the physical capabilities of quantum ...

Quantum circuits are supposed to gain power as they grow longer, but noise changes the picture. A new study finds that earlier steps in these circuits gradually lose their impact, with only the final ...

Quantum computing promises a new generation of computers capable of solving problems hundreds of millions of times more quickly than today’s fastest supercomputers. This is done by harnessing spooky ...

Quantum computing, once only a theoretical possibility, promises to deliver faster, more energy-efficient computers – but only if scientists can build and scale the hardware needed to run the machines ...

Modern classical computers have strict limitations in their ability to tackle hard optimization and simulation problems that underlie important health care, chemistry, and business applications.
