The Phoenix and Flagstaff areas are expected to warm up this weekend as the winter storms that brought rain and snow to the state have mostly passed.

A winter storm has dumped heavy snow across northern Arizona, playing a major factor in a more than 15-mile backup on a major interstate.

Northern Arizona’s biggest snowstorm of the season dumped feet of snow, causing a 15-mile traffic jam on I-40. Road closures, crashes, and icy conditions left drivers stuck for hours.
