An intriguing aspect of the second season of the hit Netflix series "Squid Game" is its use of traditional children's games as challenges, several of which are similar to the ones I played as a child in Iran such as paengi chigi (top spinning), gonggi (jacks), biseok chigi (rock throwing or kicking) and Red Light, Green Light.

Now that "Squid Game" Season 2 is in the books, there's lots of speculation about what might happen in Season 3. And some of it sounds pretty awesome.

Flying Stone is the second game featured during the Six-Legged Pentathlon, requiring five players to stay tied together as they move on to the next children's mini-game. Each game has a designated team member that must complete it, with the other players being assigned to one of the other games.

According to Hwang Dong-hyuk, the creator of the series, the third season will focus on the confrontation between Seong Gi-hun and The Leader. In this new installment, the feelings of guilt, loss, and failure affecting the protagonist, who returned to the game in the second season with the goal of stopping it, will be explored in-depth.

In contrast to other critiques of capitalism that tend to highlight the players behind the scenes, ‘Squid Game’ Season 2 unearths why people play along with the system in the first place.

Some people are made for the Squid Games. Others, like the players listed here, simply aren't suited for the challenge.

When the first Squid Game season came out in 2021, it took the world by storm and became, by far, the biggest show to binge on Netflix. It seemed like we couldn't escape from the series, and then Season 2 finally came out in 2024 after a three-year wait. But thankfully, we're not going to be waiting long for Squid Game Season 3 – the final season.
