Disney and YouTube TV have not been able to reach a new content distribution deal, prompting Disney to pull all of its channels from the service.
Disney and YouTube TV are far apart on the central issue of the price per subscriber that YouTube TV will pay Disney for its content with ESPN networks having gone dark on YouTube TV.
Another alternative to YouTube TV is DirecTV, which also has a complement of Disney-owned channels like ABC and ESPN. Like Fubo, DirecTV gives the option of a free trial, and it has the added benefit of carrying many sports- and entertainment-specific channels.
Disney and YouTube TV are stuck in a stalemate. ESPN personalities are appealing to YouTube TV customers, but their messages might not be resonating.
