As he put the wheels in motion, things just started to line up in a most un-Hollywood fashion — so much so that Brown started to believe strongly the project was meant to be.

Washington Black season 1 is a drama series created by Selwyn Seyfu Hinds that premiered on Hulu on July 23, 2025. It is inspired by Esi Edugyan's book of the same name released in 2018.
