Wisconsin running back Tawee Walker entered the transfer portal on Monday. He is the 24th Wisconsin scholarship player to enter and the 26th overall. He enters with one year of eligibility remaining — an extra year he was recently awarded after the NCAA granted waivers to former junior college transfers.

Howard’s departure reflects larger movement within Wisconsin’s defensive line room. Veterans Curt Neal and James Thompson Jr. both transferred out, while the program added commitments from transfers Parker Petersen, Corey Walker, Charles Perkins and Michael Garner.

Prior to Alabama, Mbakwe was a top name in the Crimson Tide’s 2024 class, rated as a five-star cornerback out of in-state Clay-Chalkville High School. Mbakwe’s entry into the transfer portal now brings Alabama’s total for this cycle to 15, one of which is returning to the Crimson Tide.

Auburn football lost another play to the transfer portal on Tuesday, albeit a player it already expected to lose. Keionte Scott entered the transfer portal, taking advantage of the blanket waiver granting an additional year of eligibility for current NCAA Division I senior athletes who previously spent one season in junior college or at an NAIA school.

Tawee Walker was a starter for the Sooners when the 2023 season opened, but decided to transfer at the end of the year and then had a breakout campaign with Wisconsin.
