A foot of snow is expected to fall in some towns across DC, Maryland and Virginia as the first major snowstorm of 2025 moves through.

Through midday, the winter storm dropped approximately 6 inches of snow across portions of the city, with forecasts predicting up to 12 inches as snow continues to fall through Monday night.
