Senate Republicans cleared a key procedural step as they race to pass Trump’s big bill of tax breaks, spending cuts and bolstered deportation funds by his July Fourth deadline.

Democrats made a late request that clerks read every page of the legislation, adding around 15 additional hours before a final vote.
