The current third season of “ And Just Like That ” will be the end of the “Sex and the City” universe, showrunner, write and director Michael Patrick King revealed in a statement on social media on Friday.

And just like that, And Just Like That… is coming to an end on HBO Max. The show will wrap up its 12-episode third season, which is currently airing, with a two-part finale. Showrunner Michael Patrick King notified cast of the decision yesterday,

"While I was writing the last episode of And Just Like That... season 3, it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop," he wrote. "Along with Sarah Jessica Parker, Casey Bloys and Sarah Aubrey, we decided to end the popular series this year with a two-part finale and extended the original series order from 10 episodes to 12."
