Ohio State football coach Ryan Day had praise for defensive coordinator Jim Knowles on Sunday. While speaking at the Buckeyes' championship celebration inside Ohio Stadium, Day gave Knowles a shoutout and mentioned the defense’s dominance throughout the College Football Playoff.

But it must be pointed out that Ryan Day made at least $11 million this year, and unless he is incredibly naive, that is unfortunately part of the deal. It's the same in the pros, maybe even more so.
