The gunman accused of fatally shooting two firefighters and wounding a third while they responded to a wildfire in Idaho has been identified as 20-year-old Wess Roley.

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the suspect in the Canfield Mountain shooting, which killed two Idaho firefighters, also intentionally started the fire that brought emergency crews to the area.

The suspect's grandfather said that he wanted to be a firefighter and that "something must have snapped" for him to have committed such an attack.
