Redistricting altered the area U.S. Rep. Julia Letlow has represented for just one term, but the new boundaries didn’t prevent her from achieving an outright Election Day victory in Louisiana’s 5th Congressional District.

Republican U.S. Rep. Julia Letlow, Louisiana's only woman in Congress, scored a dominant reelection win Tuesday for a third term in the 5th Congressional District. Letlow won with 63% followed by Democrat Michael Vallien Jr.
