While "No Kings Day" protests are planned across the U.S. Saturday to counter President Trump's military parade in Washington D.C., some more traditional Flag Day events will be held in Orange County.

Saturday is Flag Day — an annual national observance that, for most Americans, comes and goes with little fanfare.

Demonstrations in San Jose and 57 other locations in the Bay Area will join thousands of “No Kings” events nationwide and Western Europe to “reject authoritarianism” of the Trump Administration.

Millions of people across the country are expected to join in protest this weekend against Donald Trump’s administration, a movement intended to coincide with the president’s planned military parade in Washington — and the commander-in-chief’s 79th birthday.

The No Kings Day of Defiance protests will happen during the military parade in Washington on Saturday for the Army’s 250th anniversary — which coincides with Trump’s birthday.
