It’s Duke that’s going into the Final Four as the serious favorite, and everybody knows it.

And yet, so much has changed since Duke’s run to its last national title in 2015 or its most recent Final Four three years ago. Krzyzewski is gone, retired in 2022 after winning 1,202 games to set a men’s college basketball record along with winning five titles and reaching 13 Final Fours.

Third-year Duke basketball head coach Jon Scheyer, who won a national championship as a Blue Devil guard in 2010 and as an assistant in 2015, is now gearing up for his first Final Four at the helm. He enters the weekend boasting an impressive 89-21 overall record as the program's leader, including a 35-3 mark this season.

One of these No. 1 seeds is not like the other. Sports betting books list Duke as a clear favorite in the men's Final Four, but hang on just a second.
