Voters in a 1.5-square-mile area in South Texas — near the border with Mexico — are widely expected to vote in favor of incorporating a new town called Starbase. The company behind it is SpaceX.

Elon Musk has his eyes on another election happening today, and this one might just be the most important to him yet. Later today, the 200-odd residents of the unincorporated Boca Chica Village in South Texas will vote to decide whether they should become the state’s newest city.
