Jensen, a former Utes player under Rick Majerus, was Utah's top target and replaces Craig Smith, who was fired on February 24 in his fourth season. Jensen has been an NBA assistant coach for 12 seasons. He spent 10 years with the Utah Jazz before joining Dallas in 2023.

Drake has hired South Dakota State's Eric Henderson as its next coach, the school said Friday. Henderson has guided the Jackrabbits to two NCAA tournaments in the past four seasons, while winning four Summit League regular-season championships in six years as the program's head coach.

Eric Henderson, who led South Dakota State, will be the next Drake men's basketball coach, taking over after Ben McCollum's departure to Iowa.
