The CFP selection show, which will reveal the final rankings of the college football season and determine the official playoff picture, will be televised on ESPN Sunday afternoon.

The 12-team CFP opens with a round of on-campus matchups, in which seeds 5, 6, 7 and 8 host seeds 12, 11, 10 and 9, respectively. ESPN/ABC will air night games on Friday, Dec. 19 and Saturday, Dec. 20. TNT/HBO Max will broadcast two Saturday afternoon first-round games.
But if the Crimson Tide remains in the at-large field, the committee must choose the Irish or Hurricanes for the final spot. Notre Dame is ranked higher; Miami won the head-to-head matchup; and they have the same record.
The nine conference championships at the FBS level will be decided on Friday and Saturday, ahead of Sunday’s selection of the 12 College Football Playoff teams.
