Jennifer Rizzotti, president of the Connecticut team said to ESPN that a deal was reached to relocate the Sun to Boston for the 2027 WNBA season, but that the sale by the current owners, the Mohegan Tribe, and the move still needs to be approved by the league's WNBA Board of Governors.
According to the Hartford Courant, Marc Lasry is leading a group that submitted a $300 million offer to purchase the WNBA team.
