Ariana Grande is looking to return to her first love: musical theater. The Grammy-winning singer, who plays Glinda in Jon M. Chu‘s adaptation of the Tony-winning Broadway musical Wicked, recently said on the Las Culturistas podcast that the movie was a "healing" experience that has led her to consider "reconnecting" with the theater world.

Ariana’s latest studio album, Eternal Sunshine, was released in March this year and received critical acclaim for its deeply personal songs. However, Ariana told Matt and Bowen that being so vulnerable as a musician can be difficult, while acting nourishes her soul in a “different way.”

Ariana Grande may have become a superstar as a chart-topping pop star, but after pivoting back to musical theater while working on Wicked, the 31-year-old artist says she's hoping to keep acting at the forefront in the future.
