The technology company Astronomer said its CEO, Andy Byron, has resigned after he was shown embracing a woman on a screen during a Coldplay concert.Astronomer's board of directors accepted the resignation Saturday,
"Anybody in here with their side chick or whatever, I think you're safe here," the country music star told the crowd during his concert Friday.
Andy Byron, who has found himself at the center of a social media firestorm over a Coldplay concert video, was the CEO of a tech company named Astronomer. On July 19, the company announced that Byron has resigned in the wake of the scandal.
In an email to the Globe, an Astronomer spokesperson said that company leaders “are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met.”
