An Air India plane crashed soon after takeoff from the city of Ahmedabad on Thursday.There were 242 people on board, including 10 cabin crew and two pilots.One passenger has been found alive, India's home minister said.

Air India crash survivor Viswashkumar Ramesh has been released from hospital. In an interview with Aaj Tak, he shared that he is heading home and will do the cremation of his younger brother on Wednesday.

Air India flight AI171, a Boeing 787-8 carrying 242 people, crashed after taking off from Ahmedabad on its way to London.
