The Sixers have gotten off to a disastrous start this season. Tyrese Maxey's hamstring injury only further reduces their margin for error.

The Sixers announced that Maxey will miss time due to a right hamstring strain and will be re-evaluated in a week. With the star guard out of Kentucky now out, coach Nick Nurse needs others to step up and that could include rookie guard Jared McCain who's more than ready to take on more responsibility.

A person with knowledge of the situation says Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey could miss at least two weeks with a right hamstring injury.
