Welcome to the Royal Gorge! The Royal Gorge Route Railroad combines breathtaking scenery, exceptional service, and delicious entrees for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, prepared fresh, right on board the train. The Royal Gorge Route is often referred to as the “most scenic train ride in North America.” The train provides access through Colorado’s grandest canyon, over 1000’ deep, and just over 30’ across at its narrowest point, with the tumbling waters of the Arkansas River flowing alongside the train. Only the train takes you through Colorado’s Royal Gorge. We offer up to four departures daily aboard our Vista Dome, Deluxe and Coach classes of service and the train runs seven days a week/year-round. On board dining is available in all classes of service and the food is excellent. Our fully stocked bars feature a wide selection of specialty drinks, beers, and wines from various regions worldwide.
