Had a lot of fun. Highly recommend going and doing this. It's a pretty cool spot to go to on the boat and watch the gates opening when the river get filled up.Full review by Daydream68358052075

You can catch a bus from the information centre in town called the Hot Bus or you could call the jet Rapids and they might have a courtesy bus ? I was lucky to have a friend drop me there but it's worth the trip to get there , lots of fun and beautiful scenery.

If you are in Taupo travel to the iSite which is at the traffic lights on the corner of Heu Heu Street and Tongariro Street and book there. Sometimes you don't need to book but that depends on numbers on the boat, it is a long way to get all the way out there to find there isn't a trip going. To get there you have to drive out of town past countdown, Huka falls and go straight at the large roundabout which is on SH1 as if you are heading to Rotorua. Not far down the road it is sign posted to turn right then go over the Aratiatia dam and left when you see the signpost. Hope this was helpful and you enjoy your time in Taupo. be sure to take some sun glasses on the jet boat and gloves as it can be cold
